Privacy Policy
How CoDigital, Inc. handles the information you send through this website, why we process it, and how you can ask us to give you a copy of it or delete it.
Who This Policy Covers
This policy describes how CoDigital, Inc. (Tokyo, Japan) handles personal information in connection with the Japan Sales Bridge website. It applies to this website and to the business enquiries sent through it. It does not cover other websites you may reach from links on these pages, each of which has its own policy.
Japan Sales Bridge is a business-to-business service, and the information we receive through this site is business contact information given to us voluntarily by people enquiring about that service.
Information You Give Us
When you complete the enquiry form, you send us the fields you fill in: your name, your work email address, your company name, your company website, your country or region, the service you are interested in, and the message describing your product and your objectives in Japan.
The form also has optional fields — target industry, target customer, estimated budget, and desired timeline. These are there to help us prepare a useful reply. Leaving them empty does not prevent your enquiry from being sent.
Please send only the information you are comfortable sharing at a first business contact. There is no need to include confidential technical details, pricing agreements, or personal information about third parties in the message field.
Information Collected Automatically
Like any website request, your visit and your form submission carry technical data with them: the IP address the request came from, the browser and device information your browser reports, the page you were on, the address you came from, and the date and time of the request. Our hosting and email infrastructure record this kind of data as part of delivering and protecting the service.
This technical data is used to deliver the pages, to keep the site and the enquiry form working, and to identify abuse such as automated form submissions. It is not used to build a marketing profile of you.
Why We Process This Information
We process what you send for one purpose: to read, understand, and respond to your business enquiry, and to continue the conversation that follows from it — answering your questions, preparing a proposal, and, if you decide to work with us, running the engagement.
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with advertising networks, and we do not add enquiry contacts to an unrelated marketing list without their agreement.
Lawful Basis
We process the information because you submitted it to us in order to be contacted about a business service, and because we have a legitimate business interest in responding to enquiries about that service. Where the law that applies to you requires your consent, the consent checkbox on the form is the record of it, and you may withdraw it at any time by writing to us.
Which data protection law applies depends on where you are located when you contact us. The company-specific legal framing for this section is being confirmed — see the note at the end of this page.
How Long We Keep It
We keep enquiry information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was given: while we are handling your enquiry, and afterwards for the period we need it for the resulting business relationship and for our ordinary business records. When it is no longer needed for those purposes, it is deleted.
A specific retention period is not stated here yet; it is one of the details listed in the note at the end of this page.
Who Else Is Involved
This site is published as static pages by a hosting provider, which serves those pages to your browser and keeps ordinary server records of the requests it handles.
The enquiry form is submitted to an endpoint on this site's own domain, which validates the submission and delivers it to us by email. Our email provider therefore carries and stores the contents of your enquiry as part of delivering it.
Beyond the hosting and email infrastructure needed to run the site and receive your message, we do not pass enquiry information to other companies. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect.
Where Your Information Is Handled
CoDigital, Inc. is based in Tokyo, Japan, so the enquiries we receive are read and handled in Japan. If you are contacting us from another country, sending the form means your information is transferred to Japan for that purpose.
Security
This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit between your browser and the server. We restrict access to enquiry information to the people at CoDigital who need it to respond to you.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe an enquiry was sent in error or contains something it should not, write to us and we will remove it.
Your Choices and Requests
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. You can also ask us to stop contacting you, and we will.
Send any of these requests through the contact form on this site, using the email address you originally contacted us from, or tell us which enquiry it relates to. We may need to ask a question or two to confirm the request is genuinely yours before we act on it.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle the information described here, we will revise this page and update the date shown at the top of it. The version published on this page is always the current one.
